In Religion we will continue to discuss our Lenten promise for the children of Haiti.

Testing will begin on Monday -March 1- March 12- Please have your child on time to school with plenty of rest.  The children will be taking the IOWA and COGAT test for the next two weeks.  These test are to enable the school and teachers to develop a curriculum that will help your child be successful in learning  .  The test do not decide if your child passes or fail their grade.  Please help encourage your child about the test and we will make this an ejoyable experience for them.

March 3-Wednesday- Early Dismissal

Registration packets for the 2010 -2011 are going out this week.

Yearbooks and Script Cards are on sale in the office.

Dear Parent’s,

In Religion we will continue to discuss Lent and how we can show Jesus how much we love him.

In Language Arts the children will be learning first grade Dolch list-by, going, had, has, and we will have practice test to prepare for the Achievement Test next week.

In All About we will discuss: Texas/Rodeo- The children will be making chili.  Go Texan  Day will be on Friday 26- (free dress- Western clothes only).

Wednesday -February 24- Early Dismissal

Homework- Have your child work on mastery list and continue to practice handwriting skills.

In Religion the children will prepare for Lent. 

In Math we will be learning number sets.

In Language Arts the children will be learning first grade dolch words: after, again, an, any, as, ask, and review digraph-th, sh, wh, ch, end- ck.

In All About we will discuss: Dental Health

I like to thank all thank everyone for the wonderful Valentine’s I received.

Script cards and yearbooks are on sale in the office.

Kindergarten Lenten Project- Have your child do extra chores to raise money for the children of Haiti.  We will have a jug in our room for the money they bring in weekly.

Dear Parent

In Religion we will discuss how Jesus wants us to be kind, share, and care for one another.

In Language Arts the children will be learning: primer words: (fly, four, from, get, give, good)-Final Y as a vowel-/y/,/ar/,/or/,/ur/.

In Math we will be learning time- hour and half hour.

I will be assessing the children this week for their report card, please make sure they have plenty of sleep and a good breakfast. 

Homework: Work on mastery list and review your child’s work in their folder.

I hope everyone had a joyful and restful holiday and ready to come back!  I like to thank everyone for all the wonderful gifts I received, and will see you and your children on Tuesday January 5.
